Synopsis:
In the post 9-11 era, the Justice Department created an environment of fear and discrimination in the name of terror prevention. Using immigration law as a political tool, the administration has effectively blurred the distinction between alien, criminal and terrorist. ALIENS AMONG US takes a close look at the lives of the targeted people. Are they really that different from us? The program resulted in a vast database that local, state and federal law enforcement officials can now use to track the Arab and Muslim men who register. The drastic measures are supposed to protect US from THEM. But where do we draw the line? When do WE become THEM?
